Background

After nearly five years of development in the vehicle tracking field, SATMO began trading in February of 2009. We are extremely proud to have designed a true intelligent tracking solution.

SATMO vehicle tracking is backed by Yorkshire Forward and Yorkshire Business Link and is part of the fast growth program with an ever growing team of dedicated staff in house to look after every customers needs.

We have one simple aim as a company and that is to offer and maintain the most advanced and cost effective vehicle tracking solution in the industry. Our growth in 2009 has seen several major vehicle tracking development plans moved forward and completed ahead of schedule.

Our product range continues to grow with constant investment. Two new unique vehicle tracking products joined our range in October 2009, the stand alone GPS temperature monitor, and the SATMOCAB GPS vehicle tracking system. Both new products have been under-going rigorous testing since May 2009 and customer feedback is very positive. We pride ourselves on listening to our customers and developing vehicle tracking solutions and ideas to fit around their business requirements.

Unique

SATMO is unique in the vehicle tracking market as it develops and produces all of its own GPS hardware and vehicle tracking software in-house.  This gives us the flexibility to respond to individual customers requirements - whether this is simple data management and report generation through to full integration with your existing systems.

We provide GPS based tracking solutions for companies requiring from one unit to customers with several thousand units, and our in house development team strives to provide the vehicle tracking service across all of these different areas.

We offer a wide range of vehicle location, fleet management, asset tracking, satellite navigation, workflow, mobile job planning and security tools to provide commercial vehicle, van and car fleet operators and individuals with scalable solutions that offer flexibility, reliability and functionality. 

SATMO has created the Satmotrack Solutions Centre to offer a vehicle tracking location based Web Application for end-users, system integrators, and service providers. Our robust back-end solution can efficiently handle small projects (1 device) as well as easily managing large projects (10000 devices).

I started working on the Fuel Safe project in 2003, the first 4 1/2 years were taken up developing the very best software and tracking solution available in the UK. This is at a personal cost of over 1/2 million pounds with matched funding from different government backed schemes. We have been lucky enough to be constantly working with different universities across Europe to develop the very best solution available.

We currently employ a growing number of dedicated staff with new staff joining the team monthly. If I was to say anything to a potential company that is looking to have tracking installed, “look at their site, look at the up-date times, (do they give you access to a live site for demonstration or is it a case of holding your hand and having to show you how to use the site because it is over complicated?) Where does the tracking originate from? If they are foreign, the chances are it can take weeks or even months to add or change things to suit your company. “

It is not always the most established companies that offer the best product or service, take Woolworths as an example. Just because a company has been established longer it does not necessarily make them the best or most secure option.

Our lease agreements are designed to protect the customer, not us the provider. Our rental agreements are the easiest in and out available in the industry. Our PAYG packages are designed to offer maximum flexibility. Our Outright Purchase packages are the most cost effective solution in the industry.

I have been in this industry now for 7 years, I am still shocked by the “double glazed windows salesmen” approach that some companies use, the relentless back stabbing and the pure jealousy of seeing a new company making big waves in the industry.
